WHERE I COME FROM
Tamra (Tami) Borchardt Slayton is a member of the Indian Peaks Band of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah. Her maternal great-grandparents are Carl Jake and Minnie John of the Indian Peaks Band and Connor Chapoose and Lula Wash of the Ute Indian Tribe. Her paternal great-grandparents are Edward Hamidreek and Anita Watahomigie of the Havasupai Tribe and Cephus Thomas of the Mojave Tribe and August Borchardt and Romelda Borchardt of New London, Wisconsin. Tamra currently resides in Enoch, UT with her husband Mike Slayton of the Burns Paiute Tribe and their two children Chanel and Carver.

EDUCATION:
2005 Graduated from Canyon View High School and received an Associated Degree from Southern Utah University.
2009 Graduated with honors from Southern Utah University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology and Bachelors of Science in History.

2013 Completed Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Certificate from Southern Utah University

2014 Completed Professional Indian Housing Manager (PIHM) Certification from the National Indian Housing Council.

2018 Graduated with honors from University of Minnesota, Duluth with a Masters of Tribal Administration and Governance.
